Anti-Glare Screens
For the first time in Ukraine, we have developed technical specifications for road anti-glare (anti-dazzle) screens, designed to protect road users from being dazzled by the headlights of oncoming vehicles or from stationary lighting of objects; the screens are installed on the structure of road metal fencing of the barrier and parapet type
The screen full height, that is, the height of the panels together with the height of the fence barrier above which the panels are installed, is dependent on the position of the road in the plan and the height difference. Therefore, panels are made of three height types: 0.6 m; 0.9 m and 1.2 m. The distance between the blades is 667 mm.
Anti-dazzle road screens should be installed on road dividing strips (centre malls) in areas where there is no artificial lighting; on horizontal or vertical convex curves, where motor vehicles move with the main (long-distance) beam of headlights; in places where sudden blinding of oncoming traffic is possible.
